The 7 Deadly Sins is also known as the "Capital Vices" or "Cardinal Sins" is a classification of objectionable vices that have been used since early Christian times to educate and instruct followers concerning fallen humanity's tendency to sin.
- PRIDE/VANITY- excessive belief in one's own abilities, which interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God.
- ENVY- the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation. The root of Jealousy.
- GLUTTONY- the inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires
- LUST- an inordinate craving for pleasures of the body
- ANGER/WRATH- manifested in the individual who spurns loves and opts instead for fury.
- GREED- the desire for material wealth or gain.
- SLOTH- the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.
